No, you don't understand. My point was that one should not care if someone is cheating. If someone is cheating in a tournament, then fine. Just general online games, who cares.

People online, after losing, tend to call the winner : "cheater".

If no one seems suspect in that list, it proves ql cheating doesn't works at least for aimbot.

My point is that in my personal opinion, whether the person I am playing against is cheating or not does not change my level of enjoyment. Online casual play is generally pointless and if the person I am playing is cheating, well, then it's just a challenge then isn't it?

Of course my view on cheating in tournaments is completely different, but that's competitive.

I doubt there could be many people cheating, and if there are, they are probably shit, and aim bots are obvious.

agreed. i'd imagine one out of 200 people i play against in ql cheat, and i couldn't care less. you'd have to be pretty sad for it to matter tbh (read: jamerio).

it's never a problem unless the person is doing in a tournament, or is exceptionally good (see walter accusations)

if you know he cheats then it doesn't matter, you're better, win or lose. if you don't know he cheats, it doesn't matter.

i dont see how overall stats like QL's really matter. Good players will keep winning and bad players will keep losing, regardless of what their overall accuracy was.

last i checked quake (well besides q4) isnt all accuracy but map control and knowing when to attack or not.

someone playing 5 minutes and getting 96% acc really means nothing...you can log in and play for 2 seconds get lucky and hit on the first shot quit and have an acc of 100% and never play that one again.

you can have an acc of 20% and still be cheating..either because of throwing away shots on purpose or setting the bot you use to get that acc. and youll get it every time.

most people dont seem to understand that last bit though..you tell them that you can set a bot to get a certain accuracy and theyll just laugh you off and wont believe you..then end up pathetically trying to make fun of you every time they see you with dumbass comments "dude my acc is 20% i must have my bot set" or some stupid shit like that.

theres way too many people that still think of the old bots when they try to spec someone..even people from id seem to still be looking for all that instant lock on, centered aiming, instant spawn rape, tracking through walls stuff like bots used to do years ago...the simple fact of the matter is bots do not act that way anymore.

there are other ways to cheat tjhat are alot harder to spot and are alot worse than aimbots these days anyway. but because the person doing it is actually aiming themselves..even if theyre aiming at something theyre being shown by a hack in order to hit their opponant..people may consider it to not be cheating even though it in fact is cheating.
