what does it prove? it was his first major lan and 1v1 is the tensest gametype as you have nobody else to fall back on. he also stated that ctf was his main reason for going and if you actually watched the ctf then you'd have seen he did ok (with aim as well as shown on stream with wheat saying he hit 6 rails in a row)
