gotta be in-ear. cause i don't bring a suitcase. so it has to be small. Also those headphones only survived 4 years, have poor sound and that's crappy considering the price tag.

can be found cheap in places like media markt or the like. has good sound for in-ear plugs and are pretty comfortable. I remember picking up mine for something like 150 SEK.

Ok, thanks for your replies, i guess i'll go with CX 300 over CX 400 since they'll most likely end up in a shelf when i get home.

from what I've read, the cx400 are noticeably far better than the 300s but you pay the difference. wish I could compare but I can't remember my 300s.

but I recall getting them and thinking how fucking awesome they were for such a low price.

I'd say go for the cx400, totally worth the asking price imo.

If you travel by foot or bycicle near traffic I wouldn't recommend in-ear plug headphones at all since they shield almost all outside noise.

The standard sennheiser ear plugs are incredibly good. I wore them on my flights to and from europe last year (24hrs im from australia) and they were perfect, the moment they were in the engine drone is nearly removed entirely.

You would be able to find them at any electronics department store for a moderate price, couldn't recommend them anymore man.

ive owned a pair of sennheiser 590's so i know what quality is. Frankly unless you're willing to wear big headphones out in pubic, while you walk around you are always going to have to given in to lower quality for better comfort and mobility.

Given that this is the case I don't think you or anyone else would want to spend alot so i recommended what i did because i know its a good product and affordable :p

I have the cx300 version. Have used them on flights and when vacuuming the apartment. Drowns out the sound very well.

I've been using cx300 for two years now and I can say those are quite good. I would consider buying something better, tho (I don't know if cx300 were worth those money, they costed like 50 Euro back then...). Actually I heard that Creative EP-630 (I think there is some newer model now) are not much worse than cx300 (some people insist they are almost the same) but still 3 times cheaper.

Also, no matter which one will you pick, be careful not to buy some fake headphones! (you can find shitload on eBay etc.)

the reason for chosing ep630 over the CX 300 is only the price. there are differences, but minor ones. so whichever you find for less money.

cx300 are very cheap and perfect choice if you like loads of bass (really they have too much if anything)

Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket 11mm. Not the ones with metal wires, they don't sound as good as the other ones, but they do last longer. But both versions have crazy deep bass. And the other version have a small box that you can put them in for safe keeping (though the one in the picture is the metal wire ones).

I have had the ep630s for more than a year now(got them free for a friend), and I love them. Only downside was I messed up the cord, so its split in 2 wires. They work great still though, just get tangled easily.

Recently, I saw the CX300s on sale for $15USD on amazon.com. So i bought those and have been using them for a week + now.

Overall the sound is the same as the ep630, few minor differences. But for 15bucks I love em.

Oh, and In-headphones = Awesome. I never really liked em before I tried the ep-630s. I can wear them for 12+ hours without ever feeling uncomfortable. They block outside sound better than my HD280s and AblePlanet Noise canceling headphones, so I love that about them too.
Only downside is not good for quake, I've noticed I cant position my enemy's/other sounds in game that well. But eh, great for everything else.

I have never saw orginal ones below 25 pounds, but maybe thats just the case with continental europe. Everything was like perfect looking fakes, and unless you knew orginal ones only way to determine if they were legid was checking distribution channel (they should have warranty papers from official local Sennheiser distributor). Its shocking, but fakes are sold even in normal stores in orginal looking boxes.

Well, I bought them exactly two years ago and back then it regular (as in not online) stores those were much more expensive. Read the comment wrote by fws, it explains it perfectly :P

I've heard those cx series from sennheiser are not very reliable. Like people needing a replacement after some months, right/left phone failing, etc.

My cx300s have been treated with utter contempt and are working fine.

I expect the more expensive ones break all the time though.

Yeah i mean, sure those are more than decent for regular listening. But if I want to monitor stuff with them like I do, its totally useless. They colour the bass frequencies so much among other things.

Obviously if you want actual quality the cx range is pretty poor really.
