Recently the
ESL announced that Quake Live will be part of their
Intel Extreme Masters Continental Championships. Today they revealed more details about the upcoming qualification tournament and the prize money. There will be four qualification cups and the top two of each cup will reach the American Championship, where they will be joined by eight invited players and fight for a total of
$10,600 prize money. The complete tournament system can be found on the

For each win during the American Championship group stage the winner receives $75 and all players that qualify for the Finals receive a bonus of $100*. So during main round there will be a total of $2,600 in prize money.

Total Prize Money: $10,600
*Bonus is only paid when the participant takes part in the Final event.
