The new 3.0 nowadays has 450DPI, not 400. Other then that, the same.

wait for Steelseries Xai, if it has no issues it would be definitely the best choice for you

I would say that your best bet would probably be the 3.0, however it is substantially bigger than the MX310. MX518 would be another good one.

Mice that would fit the bill for you but don't have side buttons would be the Razer Salmosa and the WMO 1.1. Both are solid smaller mice more akin to the MX310, but obviously lack MOUSE4.

From what I've heard the G9x's laser is really solid and I personally use the G9 on occaision and it would be a good candidate except for the fact that you're not looking to tweak it at all. That mouse almost requires you to tweak it before you use it.

Thanks for the input so far everyone. I tried the mx5xx, but don't find it really comfortable. I like the wmo and use it at the office and think ill have to consider it.

If you're using firefox, you can use gestures/rocker to replace the back-button for browsing :)

Im using an mx310 at work now, Its abit bigger than my old lovely G1 andabit smaller than an mx518..

I preffer small mice too and im currently using a copperhead which is near perfect.. Going to upgrade to a diamondback soon tho as it looks the same size..

So id recommend a diamondback..
