Never had a problem binding single keys (did it only for RtCW) with my Ikari Laser, Optical doesn't have macros.

You can try MS Intellipoint, should work with every normal 5 button mouse

Xai isn't out yet, so we don't know much about the software but I guess it will have more advanced macro abilities.

I didn't follow the atelco dates but other german shops are pushing the release date back every weak.

Hardware was final some time ago, SS is polishing the software.

That's a very interesting tip about using the MS software. I'll defintely try that when I get home tonight. I just wonder if I'd then lose other features, like DPI settings, macros, or profiles. I'll give it a shot tho.

And yeah, its a problem for many games but not all.

Hopefully SS have finally got off their asses and this wont be an issue with the Xai. Its rather inexecusable.

I found this utility that allows for binding keystrokes and a lot more to boot.

This runs on top the drivers so it does consume a little resources, but no more than most behind the scenes apps.

I've just begun testing, but so far its worked beautifully while still allowing for the use the Ikari reference drivers.

BecauseI found this, I've not yet tried using the MS driver as suggested, but I'll def keep that in mind and appreciate the idea.

But just knowing that this utility is available greatly eases my mind about the Xai. Its OK for me to want it again.
