If my memory is still good:
blue rapes makaveli on q2dm1 (maka gets lower mg spawn while blue gets mh spawn)
makaveli beat blue on q2dm3
makaveli beat shub 3x on q2dm1 3-2, 3-2, 3-1 (shub accidentally killed himself while standing at the railgun typing in console: "kill me so score is not 3-2
1. shub
2. blue
3. rufus
4. doomhammer
first quake tournament i ever followed
nostalgia.
Not quite true, I remember Rufus raping badly you on dm1 and you became very frustrated. Rufus barely lost to Blue as well in his matches and the organisers had very unfairly set Rufus' monitor over to the side of Blue so he could see what Rufus was doing the whole time, idiocy.
I still have tons of vintage demos of you and immy and Deathrow team matches if you ever want them. Peace.
That was my first game of the day, and I did come back and beat him 3 straight times after that from what I remember by decent margins. I don't remember being frustrated after losing to Rufus though, I think I was just having fun and talking some shit about how I was going to rape him next game, hehe.
If you have some demos, I would most certainly want them. I don't have any of my old demos.
I did not know about the match between Rufus and Blue being like that... that must have sucked for Rufus.

It's not from watching demos, it's from playing it.
You say it's fine, but I can miss on purpose and score hits with the railgun. It is a little off. Accuracies are not an indication of whether or not the netcode is fine or not. Especially in the case when a miss is scored as a hit as that will inflate accuracies.
It's a little funky to say the least. Not terrible, but I don't think it is better than the Q3A netcode.
And is your stupid comment really necessary or do you have a problem expressing yourself like an adult?

lol, and it happen all the time. Right ?.
Maybe you should rename as K9-unlucky
You really seem to have trouble grasping what he's saying. It's not an issue of him getting hit. He's talking about LANDING the shots that he KNOWS didn't hit his opponent.
I use to like watching immortals demos. While quake duels and general skills were not as refined back then, immortal always had a particuarly strange style. He moved around clumsily and some what aimlessly, sub par movement even for those times. However, he could out aim everybody by a great margin. He was like the Rainman of quake lol. He might have been one of the first to use a really low sens.
Does anyone still have that immortal-makaveli zip of practice demos (literally dozens and dozens) from back in the day? If so put it on a free host somewhere please. Pretty sure I've lost them all last time I had to format.
Hey. I know many people would love to see all these nostalgic demos , people would ofcourse suck it up for some hidden thresh demos too(doh) .
How about uploading demos to http://q2scene.net/ds/ ? just have a search first and see if the demos are there, and try the links ! many links dont work :(
I myself love watching nostalgic demos, mainly shub . Ive got the first demos of Shub playing a TDM game , lol that is funny. And i were too young and dum to figure out how to enter the server, password and such hightech :P
Hey makaveli i remember you hitting all hyperblaster shots on q2dm1 when a guy was going from lower rl and into the elevator , that was sweet.
Unfortunately, I have been unable to locate this demo from my POV.
Been a little nostalgic lately about my gaming days.
