I'm having issues with YouTube, I don't know if it's Adobes fault or Mozillas. I find jumping to certain parts in a video fucks with it, I'll have to completely reload the page for it to work again.

Have you tried it with a clean install with no addons?

Most of the problems I've had in the past have been due to poorly designed addons.

I started seeing the problem a month ago. I installed Windows 7 recently, had it right away. Today I went back to XP, same thing. These are clean reformats, and fresh installs of Firefox.

i have 42 addons installed, no problems here.. no crashes, no absurd memory usage etc.
rendering is significantly faster in 3.5 than 2.0, dunno what people are smoking.. there are countless speed tests out there corresponding with my experience

then again: most people are idiots that re-install XP monthly because they install stupid shit on top of stupid shit all the time.. or something

Test for Firefox 3.5x :

After somes navigations, close Firefox 3.5x and quickly restart the browser.
Many time, Firefox 3.5x was stil in memory (so hidden in the screen) doing somes things, so nothing happen.

2 firefox.exe are in memory ... so we need to ctrl alt supp, to close the programs.

i just presumed that was because it was searching for updates.... doesnt take long though

Uses my memory ridiculously now, sometimes i ctrl + alt + del and it tells me it is using 1.5gb of memory. What a joke.

Changed to opera cause firefox could use more than 1gb ram...

Thanks! However, Chromium for Linux is still not perfect. I can't seem to find any working mouse gestures extension, and I cannot live without one. There are also some issues maximizing the window. The font rendering on sites seems to be worse than forefox (very thin x's, maybe slightly less antialiasing?)

On linux, It still needs some work to be better than firefox...

imo Firefox > all browsers ...
