Somebody had lags, freezes and other connection issues with justin.tv.

I'm think, in future, we will stream with justin.tv + ustream.tv at the same time.

Justin.tv have always worked better for me.

Does Justin.tv support the Adobe Flash Media Encoder?

I know UStream does, and it's one of the only reasons UStream doesn't suck. When you use that program, it's amazing.

Yes, it does, i used Adobe Flash Media Encoder yesterday.

Personally I've used both, and in terms of the video itself, I can't notice a difference. Quality seems to be the same, the only difference I've ever seen is just the flash player look.

Now, in terms of viewers, I'd say you're 10x more likely to get more viewers on the Justin.tv website than uStream. Justin.tv is mostly a gaming community now, so you'll get a lot more word of mouth there.

how would he get more viewers there? people click the link to the stream and watch it, its not like random guys will follow some unimportant ql online tournament without commentating

On Justin.tv, when you want to browse channels, the default view is it being organized by the amount of viewers. So as long as the stream has around 50, it will be somewhat close to the top. People browse for new streams all the time, so it will be found.

ustream video quality is worse (from what i have seen in the past) but i never had any lags/freezes
justin on the other hand seems to randomly make problems. i have watched it for half an hour without problems and on other days it was basicly unwatchable. yesterday i had some minor lags but the better quality made up for it.

is there any european based free service like ustream or justin?

Quality was fine yesterday (could read chatter:), had horrid lags until ca. 22:00 when lags suddenly disappeared.

justin.tv has a viewer per country limit. not a good idea maybe :/

It was mostly me who complained about lags and freezes yesterday. All I can say is that the stream was lagging every 2 seconds and was unwatchable at first, but in a while (maybe in an hour or so?) all lags disappeared miraculously. I guess the 10th comment here is about the same thing.

Btw a question: watchquake.ru gives a choice between high and low quality, but does it work? I mean, choosing low doesn't work at all, it doesn't show a game, just a blank white screen. I tried it when there were lags, and I thought about saving some traffic too, for some no so interesting matches (it's limited per month for me, then they cut your speed). Would appreciate it if you explained how to switch to low quality ;)

We tried low quality before stream started and faced with CPU-load problem (can't compress high+low quality at the same time).

I thinking about this problem, because not everyone has 1mbit inet.

Heard of PeerCast? technics told me it's very popular in Asia and quality is amazing.
