The current health care bill is estimated at $1 trillion (twice as much as they had originally intended), and historically, health care bills realistically run at about double the estimate. It might not pass, but the danger is still there.

Actually, this crisis started with Clinton. He is the one who loosened regulations that allowed all of this to happen. Bush didn't do much of anything aside from passing the stimulus bill, but Obama's signature is on it, too.

I can argue against carbon taxing because there is no scientific consensus for it. The people supporting the idea are the ones who stand to profit from it, not the ones who care about the cause. If our dollar crashes, health care is going to be the LEAST of our concern. You're basically saying that we need to throw gas on the fire in order to put it out. The current bill doesn't help the poor sector, despite the ads you might have read. People who have lost their jobs (and health care), or people who just plain can't afford it, will now be forced to buy health care or pay taxes. Failure to get health care requires you to pay taxes, and failure to pay taxes will land you with fines of up to $250,000 and/or jail time. You might not be American, but you seem to know about as much about this stuff as the average citizen - that is, nothing at all.

Basically this team didn't care for any of the warnings that many people were giving, that this guy wasn't who he said he was and potentially worse. It doesn't surprise me that the admins won't do anything about it though, they are spineless when it comes to dealing with any "top" players/teams in quake.

Pretty funny looking back on some of the garbage talked that day, especially with that retard Frozen talking for hours accusing Reynir of being a cheat. - Sign up shady characters
- Use a cheat in games to win
- If you get caught, you can just replay the game with a different squad

By not removing pstarZ from the cup the ESL is showing it has the opinion that the use of cheats in its leagues is nothing more than a bit cheeky.

They're not even giving them a slap on the back of the wrist, it's ludicrous that they should be allowed to continue or add any player to the roster at this point in time let alone Noctis.

It's a teams responsibility to ensure that it is not playing with cheaters in its squad and the team should be punished accordingly.

Missing good old Clanbase times when admins were concern about players who played thier leagues/cup, even it was 2nd div... now they concentrate only for frequent coverage + promote league/cup into public, which is good, but players are like piece of meat with ultimate laws. I'd say he has a really neutral, accurate pronunciation from what I recall from streams/etc which is usual for Belgian/Dutch/Scandinavians that have been taught since a young age.

Spanish/French/German/Italians usually have very strong accents and other European nations just get it all wrong.

For me, American accents are quite strong and "inaccurate" in pronunciation (Same with any native English speaking nation).

A good friend of mine is a Dane and I have met alot of Swedes through him, including his girlfriend and many of them sounded slightly American to me. I asked about their accents and one of the reasons I found to be rather interesting was that they told me they grew up watching alot of US tv, and hence in conversation in english they exhibited similar sounds to that of Americans (rolling their R's for instance).

Some Europeans can sound very neutral and nothing like their mother tongues. I wouldn't expect a bunch of Russians to be that aware of different English accents...

In the same way that Americans think there is a "British" accent and can't seem to tell the difference between most of the accents (even though some are nothing alike).

two examples from personal experience:
When I was in Romania people actually asked whether I was an American. (Even though people with good English skills "assure" me I have a German accent).
I also remember a vacation in America where some waitress asked my mom whether she came from Canada (she speaks French better than English, and sometimes mixes up words and pronounciations).

So, if people sometimes even fail to recognize someone's first language when they here it, I am not at all surprised that people can't tell someones first language from his accent in English.


That said, they should have checked such things when people started asking questions.

To be fair I dont know how foreign languages sounds to russians, but if people told them that he dont knkow his native tounge and they didnt bother to investigate then its pretty obvious they all sanctioned his cheating.

I've met a few people from the Balkans that sound strangely American when speaking english, I think that anyone learning a foreign language can sound differently, depending on how and where they learnt the language.
