sounds like the good ol' logitech cord gone bad. replace the mouse cord if you can and see if it helps.

Sounds like sensor is one way out to me.

They were not designed to run that high and it puts more stress on it.

ye, if i do a fast flick or something then the mouse "dies". i have to reconnect it to pc for it to start working again.

bad cable maybe?

It's the cord. That's what always happens to the mx 300/310/500 when the cable dies. Ignore jamerio. Also if you call logitech they'll send you a new mouse.

Its also a symptom of a failing lazer.

If its a cord probelm then he should be able to fix it by opening up the mouse and checking the connections into the board.

do they? I've had this mouse for 4-5 years now and i have opened it numerous times for cleaning and scroll repairs. So i doubt or is there something i don't know?

I forget if the warranty is 3 or 5 years. But call them. They'll have you walk through rebooting, reinstalling drivers, and stuff like that. One of my mice still had the p/id and they just mailed me a new one. The p/id was worn off the other (and I think it was also past warranty), but they sent me a new mouse after mailing it in to them.
