I find QL teamplay quite boring. It's kinda shallow.
QW tdm has a lot more depth then QL tdm which is a shame. Armors should be made more significant imo. ra 200 armor and ya 100 armor. Now it's a camp the weapon game.

its great because control is actually solid. Sometimes it can lead to ridiculous rape, but between even teams it adds up to something really tactical, with some clutch moves etc.

Also, some of the maps are just great. QL TDM in contrast doesnt really have solid control due to things like strong weapons coupled with weak armors and smallish maps.

Yeah, I reinstalled it last night and watched the demos. Pretty crazy.

powerups are way more important than in q3/ql, they do way mroe damage, and they spawn more often.

having lots of rocketlauchers distributed among your team is something that q3 lacks completely, also killing enemy rocketlaunchers as a high priority.

How often do the powerups spawn? And why do they spawn more frequently? Is it just to keep players alert so they don't run around without purpose until the next powerup spawn?

i think quad comes every minute and pent every other. not sure tho!

quad every minute. Pent every 5 minutes (very powerful ofcourse!) and ring also every 5 minutes, but it's not as special as 8 players are usually trying to get the pent and the pent and ring normally spawn around the same time, unless one of the powerups get delayed.

If nme team has control with 4 rls and you manage to steal pent with an rl you could for example kill a 1-4 nme rls which can totally turn the map around. If you save the packs with rl for your teammates the tide will be turned.

I wish I could show everyone how much teamplay it needs then QL teamplay. I mean you can 4 great players, but they don't have any teamplay then they will most certainly get owned by 4 average players with good teamplay.
That's just not gonna happen in QL.

OK. I do (and did) have the plugin installed and running. But when it does not work just pressing F5 for the page does not help. You need to close the octoshape plugin first and then reload the page again (it will restart the plugin).

SO, who honestly enjoyed watching those 2on2 matches last night, becuase i certainly didn't, no more 2v2 tdm on ESL please =))

I did, especially the second match.

the 2nd game was really good, but the other 2 were kinda boring yes. Doesn't mean the concept is bad, it's just due to the superiority of noctis & zyvve. Ban that team from all 2on2 tournaments, and you'll have nothing but great games ;)

I really enjoy these match ups, but I find them to be announced a bit late. I much rather watch these games then a football match these days.

I was a huge football fan. Always went to to matches in stadiums etc, but football has lost it's appeal to me.
It's getting more and more physical and the number of matches I watch that are just dramatic display of skill while both teams are supposed to be topnodge is waaay too high. An entire match just can't interest me anymore.

Best sport is cycling imo, but then again that's a sport some people can't imagine being interesting to watch :D
Ofcourse flat stages with a masssprint as the end are boring besides the last 3 km.

cycling get boring really really fast. My former roommate used to watch the tour every day. I got bored after one four hour afternoon. Though it's ok if you're watching while doing other stuff.


For watching I think I do like American Football the most, since you even get your beer breaks. Well and Women's beach volleyball for obvious reasons :]

then again I hardly ever watch sport events alone, and not that often with friends. I prefer highlight videos, ideally of something I do myself.
