Because it's imbalanced. It's much too easy to maintain control on the map and much too hard to come back from a defensive position without having toxic's or strenx's aim. No other map from the standard QL map-pool is that hard to play defence on and that much aim-based.

so, i think that's a good thing. I mean, we don't need 15262 "brain" maps, there should
be at least 1 "aim" based map. If you can't aim, then don't play quake ;D, it's not a game
only about timings after all :). The perfect quaker would be someone with toxic's aim
and cooller's brain :).
Also, aim is in the brain, and dodging for example is like aiming, it's a very similar skill,
so when everyone is like "omg this guys is a genius" when cooller dodges, then you
could say the same thing with toxic's shaft... And aim requieres practice aswell.
And if you want to play chess, ffs go play chess, not quake lol.

You're actually describing more t4 than dm6 there. Dm6 is just imbalanced. Once you're out of control, you can hit 2x more than your opponent and still don't get it back if he duels correctly.

so, there's a difference between "aim based" and "imbalanced"...

Maybe change some items then, add one more YA etc. Or maybe try to hit 4 rail in a row like cypher =).

There is too many people who like dm6, like me. You can check out a poll made by carmac a while ago for most suitable duel map. Dm6 scored good

liking something doesnt necessarily make it good. A poll like that is useless, its obvious that people will vote for whatever they played the most, and since dm6 is one of the most played maps in clan arena, tdm, 1on1 and 2on2 of all time, of course it will score good. But that doesnt mean its a good map(imo its a bit fucked in 1on1 and always was, but thats just me i guess :p)

Yeah i know what you mean, you mean that the only useful poll would be if it would have bad result for dm6. Just accept it, the people were asked what their opinion was on the most suitable duel maps and DM6 scored good. This means if you tkae out dm6, you will make a lot of people angry.

I think a lot of people who like dm6 don't even play in competitions so removing dm6 wouldn't be too much of a problem

Which is why those people's opinions shouldn't really matter to us who are involved in competetive scene. I have the impression that most players on the very top don't like dm6. This is just me but I value the opinion of the best players quite a bit higher than some public hero's opinion when comes to competition.

I value the spectators opinion much more, since this is what ultimately keeps the scene alive. No spectators, no sponsors, no money and no motivation for players to become very good.

I love t4, but I would probably prefer that both are removed. It's nice that dm13 is back, and ztn is endlessly good, but the rest should be new.

F1, but I don't think it'll happen any time soon. ESL will probably have the balls to make those kind of changes with their map-pool, but not until the end of this IEM season.

I think were waiting for an alternative for dm6. Don't get t4 back.. really the map is done. Get over it. It isn't even a good map.
Same with dm6. I think tournament organiser do consider it, but haven't removed it yet because there is no alternative.

t4 = more aim based than dm6, the control shifts easier from 1 player to another but why is that a good thing? i think the 1 who works hard for it shouldnt loose it cuz some random rox hit. thats why dm6 should stay :)

in dm6 once you lose control you'll most likely lose no matter how hard you work, while the player in control doesn't really need to do much
