(thx raven software) its the only game that died after..what, 2 years? did it even live that long? look at q1, q2 has a HUGE community even today. q4 is nowhere. like it never happened. was never meant to be a strong multiplayer game. its just singleplayer quake with some multi that tried to get somewhere, with some patches, 2 different mods, whatever. it tried, it failed. simple as that. and now its forgotten.

still, you manage to say something along the lines of "vq3 is the worst ever". vq3 is played since the end of 99. it was played in 2008, and quakelive is pretty much the same.

it was played in 2008, and quakelive is pretty much the same, minus any functional qualities that made Q3 good in some aspects.

Sure, it had a bad start, but it got so much better within a year. But then, unfortunately, id nerfed it with 1.4 and that was it. Q4 1.3 was pretty much perfect.

So, no, I don't think the majority of the players were on the right side. Rather, they couldn't accept change, which is why they're playing a half-assed rehash of a 10-year-old game now.
