It really is a shit game. You run around with shitty cs weapons and kill retarded zombies. Its so repetitive. Versus mode sucks too.

if you join the group with steam you see members in your friendlist, like in quake live. its not a big deal.

feedback here is a bit sad, because on my old quake sites there is nobody left who plays quake anymore, all ppl are into games on steam.

Replace the Q3.exe with the cnq3 one, add +fs_game "CPMA" (or whatever the command is) to the game in its steam settings.

And that says you're playing in a non-steam game afaik. Also iirc, the cnq3 client launches into CPMA automatically. So one does not need to use the fs game command.

Well, I never did update my shortcuts I just replaced the .exes :P

All I remember was I loaded it up once, through steam and it displayed as playing Q3 (or maybe, non-steam game: Quake 3) and it went straight into CPMA.

The paks are the only part you actually have to pay for.
