lg is harder to hit now and it seems rocket is still gonna dominate more than anything now.

lg does not feel that much of a big difference tbh, and essentially its going to help rapha cause he uses lg strictly in mid range. If rapha loses out that will be due to being out of practice for sometime.

I see him having very difficult times against cooller because cooller's dodging techniques, and against cypher, because cypher sometimes manage to do crazy shots, which in case of matches with low aim, makes a hell of a difference

relax? i played q3 for 8 years or so, and i just dont like seeing it go down the gutter. QL had potential, but they fucked it up. feels like a whole other game then Q3, and mostly not in a good way

They didn't want an exact copy of Q3, that's why they made changes. Maybe you don't like changes.

Q3 was going down the gutter because the weapon balance and overall importance of weapon dmg vs armor was becoming flawed because of the technical improvements in computer hardware and mods like CPMA
QL was supposed to restore this balance, and some things are good like higher rocket dmg vs the hitscan weapons - especially the 75dmg rail
quake is however based around the RL and i think they pretty much made it worthless. higher travel speed and less splash dmg makes it into more of a direct hit weapon, closer to rail. that brings with it less consistency and less reward for a skilled & planned approach, because skilled players would not aim the RL directly at the opponent, but make sure to aim towards the floor and score with splash dmg. this now isnt as effective any more
the new RL rewards less skilled players, and luck. and i doubt that can be positive - for even playing fields where everybody can score we already have cs and cod - and discos with cheap alcohol

uhhhh.... it's not a whole new game..it's basically cpma vq3 with different weapons values, 5 second weapon respawn and crappier netcode. (cpma vq3 not vanilla)

i signed up under the presumption that ql was to be q3 for free... or at least that's what certain reps from id software led me to believe.

it's q3...with changes to basic gameplay. same maps, same models, same bright skins, same weapons, same movement............................................ yet .... not balanced at all because of stupid changes.

i blame "pro-gaming" every other quake outside of q4..... was made for fun...not pro gaming. now it seems every weapon has to be perfectly balanced...spawns have to be here and there so that every map...and every aspect of every facet of the game is perfectly balanced... this bullsh!it is ruining quake.... all so that when the day comes that all this shit is televised there's this many air rox , this many crazy rails or this acc percentage per weapon per episode of quake crap.
