Hi,
for FPS games such as QuakeLive I am looking for a replacement of my current setup.
Currently I am using a Logitech MX518. I replaced its original feet with some 3rd party teflon feet (I don't remember the brand anymore, might have been hyperglides .. I just know they were expensive, about 15€ for 2 sets, each set having all 5 feet for the mouse). As mousepad I am using the QcK+
The problem I have with this setup is that the combination doesn't work out. Once I replaced the first set of mouse feet with the 2nd set, the friction was just perfect. But after one week, friction became higher and higher until it reached a stable level. At this level, I feel that friction is too much. Especially the static friction (as opposed to dynamic friction) is quite high - it requires a lot more force to move the mouse just a few millimeters than compared to how much force I needed in the first week after I changed the feet.
I am asking you whether you can recommend a good combination of mousepad and mousefeet (fitting to MX518)/glide tapes (put on top of the feet)
I am looking for a combination that is having low and constant friction for longer than 3 months.
I do not care whether the mousepad you suggest is a cloth pad or not. I may also be metal or glass.
Regards!
