I have followed Q3 events through the years on GTVs and have been happy about it.

This "new" Gamers tv like ESL and DerQuaker etc that follows QL events is a great initiative so we can follow them on the sofa with a big bag of potato crisps and maybe a couple of beers...

BUT:

QL is NOT Warsow. Why lower the graphics on a Gamerstv so Quake looks like warsow??? That is something i don�t understand, in fact i hate it. A Gamertv should have the best view....i think you know what i mean...

picmip 0 (or 1), spiral rail with 2 colors, enemymodel "" , enemycolor "" etc etc, i can go on for ever...

...stop making QL look like warsow.

Picmip 1 looks horrible and pixelated on streams that have poor bandwidth..

Thats why they use a high picmip, looks alot better!

picmip 1 looks bad on stream below 30 fps, most streams default at 25 and some even run lower.

We run the lvl^ stream RIGHT NOW at; 25fps and picmip 6 for two reasons

1. 25fps is smooth enough for VQ3

2. picmip 0 requires such a large amount more of upload, it's wasted resources when instead we could provide a sharper and smoother stream.

Even when we begin to broadcast in HD we will still run picmip 0 for those reasons, and we hope you understand.

gtv would be great for these small 2-a-week cups. to that, we'd have demos 5 minutes after the match is over.

on the other hand, i'm happy i didn't watch dubai on gtv, cause i would miss at least 50% of it's awesomeness.

but gtv with a winamp shoutcast stream would be better.. :)
