Personaly I think that changes increased the gap between average players and those who excels in shaft. It just lowered efficency of those who werent so accurate with it in the first place.

In lan, imo, this is more like 60 % brain, 40 % aim or maybe 65 % brain, 35 % aim.

its normal schooling, they talked normal, I dont see any rage or something. strenx a bit nervous, but not becoz of questions and so on. strenx is more whining online, but IRL he talks normal, he told he did his best, his strongest game aspect is LG , so he is using it, antons best game aspect is control or map, so he is using it. every player is diferent, and quake is so nice, coz you can choose diferent game styles.. strenx is top8 europe player 100% is it bad? not everyone born to be #1.

Most players @ online tourneys gers lot of experience, strenx won tons of tourneys, was in 3-4 big lan events, thats enought to win big lans. look @ spartie vq3 in some lan, i forgot. Yes he expects to rape everyone with his lg, its works very good online, but onlan he cant stand 2x more hp/armor/ positioning.

maybe cooller is just walking all the items, so strenx wont spawn infront of yellow or red armor. now he has 100 hp no armor while cooller is stacked. strenx can hardly attack any items, cooller stays patience and get his kills..

who went from brainless aim and blatantly improved his thinking game during Q4.

His problem is exactly as cooller called it, he doesn't analyse his game and he doesn't have the experience (Of playing in different styles).

He plays online and rips the shit out of everyone with his nice shaft aim, and has thought to himself "This is how you win" so he only ever plays with this one technique.

Then he turns up at LAN and all of a sudden players are aiming better against him, dodging is better, rockets are stronger et cetera but he can't do shit because like he said "I play bad when I try to play different".

I doubt strenx has ever bothered to analyse other play styles let alone try playing like cypher and pretty much only ever using rockets unless it's an easy lg stream, av3k with focus on controlling the player directly through confrontations or jibo by baiting the opponent into mistakes by defending.

It's ridiculous to think that av3k/cooller/cypher/rapha/etc are somehow super intelligent, just wing it the whole game and everyone else is stupid.

well tbh I don't really blame him. He only really came to prominence in the late vq3 (shaft dominance) era, and that style translates well enough to online QL. You can't really expect a newcomer to have a strong LAN game if people can't practice in LAN conditions.

I think strenx is one or two bootcamps away from being a really great player...

sorta annoys me how strenx went from being quite confident, to just being depressed about results and not striving for anything...

Building all your game around shaft is ok, but it is all about picking your fights. Superior shaft allows for a lot, but you have to be aware of situations you cant win. For a shafter the biggest hurdle is when you are out of control. If he cant deal safe damage with rl or rail to reduce the difference between players, the only way is to catch opponent off guard, and thats clearly not strenxs strongest point. He is doing that a lot, but only cause many people wont consider such cheeky attacks possible. In case of someone fully aware of strenx way of playing, the hurdle becomes too big to overcome.

Good because you could cut it with a knife. Cooller gave his honest opinion and Strenx was clearly frustrated and couldn't express himself too well. Solved. Move on.

Shaft is never going to make a player at the top, while its works against 99.9 of scrubs, the other .1% will all be at the big tourneys so the guy is going to have to do something, especially if he gets a rep as a LG whore, other players will just structure their whole game around that.

What damage strenx can make up for in LG accuracy someone else can make up for in many other ways.

In a shaft vs shaft battle I doubt he's more than few % accuracte the other players.

I think he's really taletned for his age, come on, 18 years old and already good enough to beat all but a handful of the worlds best FPS duellers.

The problem is, is it realyl worth all the time and effort, the guy was clearly deflated, we all know how much he plays, he was 6-1up or something and still lost his god map.

That's got to hurt, but at the same time you can't feel bad for losing against cooller on dm6, one of the best dm6 players in the world and probably the best q3 player ever.

Let's put it in perspective here.

When I watch a game with k1llsen, I'm constantly pissed off and thinking like "fuck!!! die already, you sneaky bastard!!!", while k1llsen just easily running from an opponent in full control. I don't know why, I don't have anything agains k1llsen himself, but for me it's really uncomfortable even just to watch his playing style.
