The polling interval is adjusted to the device connected, and in your case it seems to be the default. I don't think you'll find a way to change it manually, probably involves editing the default usb mouse kext. If you really wanna gamme under os x, I would suggest that you get a mac supported gaming mouse (razer). gl!!!
