Sign-ups are now open for Quake America Weekly Duel Cup #2, scheduled to start
Saturday, February 6th at 18:00 CST!
Please keep in mind changes are being made to the rules at this time, do not expect any of them to be final at this moment.
Updates will be posted pending those rule changes.
Also, remember that this is the
Sign-Up phase. On the day of the tournament there will be a
Check-In phase where players will verify they are present. If you miss
either the Sign-Up or the Check-In, you will not be put into the bracket for Duel Cup #2.
So, don't forget to
sign up for Duel Cup #2, and good luck to all participants!
EDIT:
I have to extend my deepest apologies to the players who are getting server errors when trying to sign up for Cup #2.
Tourney.cc (the current webhost and bracket builder for Quake America) seems to currently be having issues with new people registering to their database. Attempting to contact the webmaster seems to be futile as well, as the "contact" form software on the website gives server errors as well.
Anyone who can contact Uz, who as I understand it is the webmaster of Tourney.cc, may attempt to persuade him to fix the server issues at hand, until then there's is nothing that I or the rest of the Quake America staff can do except once again extend our deepest apologies if you cannot get the web-software to work.
EDIT 2:
Seeds for the Quake America Duel Cup Series will be done subjectively by the Quake America admin team.
Seeds will have a "Block Grouping" format, with possibly multiple players assigned to a single block.
Preferential treatment will be given to players who have achieved a high rank in previous tournaments.
Seeds will be posted shortly before each cup begins for the purpose of the
Map Decision Process.
If you are matched up against a player in the same seed block as yourself, a coin flip will determine who is considered the high seed player. Simply type .coin in the Quake America IRC channel, and our QNAServ bot will flip one for you.:
