based of the fact that cypher was way better than cooller in q4 back in 2007, and 2008 is not even debatable,cypher owned him, so that leave us with 2009, which all in all cypher was the better player. and cypher winning the european ql championship sums it up pretty easily.

He's got multiple wins and better placings over Cypher, Q4 included.

cypher left quake4 and started playing q3 actively in 2007, lets say. after losing the first asus to cooller in the finals (2x ztn, and won dm6 like 20 frags), he's been beating cooller on regular basis.

So firstly, there is a considerable period where cooller was the better player and secondly what I said didn't suggest that either since there have been plenty of occasions where cooller has beaten cypher (or placed higher) making the original statement not true.

Please list the games they have played in international LAN tournaments. I think you'll find it's a handful at max and most of their games have been online or at small LAN's.

well it was handful at major tourneys, but just because cooller didn't make it through a single group stage when quake was pretty much alive in 2008, and cypher was at his best, easily beating guys who kicked cooller out. i remember cypher winning ztn and cooller refusing to play second map @ eswc, i remember cypher winning last 3 asus lan cups in a row vs cooller and jibo. and when they didn't go head to head in tournaments, cypher placed better (except at dreamhack).

when is the last time cooller has beaten cypher @ lan? early 2007. and never again.

and yeah, when you add 2 belarus players to an asus cup, its not really 2 equally represented countries going for the title

Well. Cypher owns him with virtually every weapon, too. Cooller's shaft for instance is a lot worse than it worse in the European Championship.

agreed. I haven't seen cooller play this bad since his epic fail on dm6 vs czm at cpl 2006.

Usually im cheering for cypher but tbh he had so much luck on the semi finals of this cup vs cooller that i began to feel very bad for cooller.

the final was a different story though, cypher played better in both maps and deserved the win.

cooller knows how it is to win by 1 frag so many times, now he's learning the opposite.

cooller and online games dont go well together. won't bother watching these.

These were played online? If so, they're kind of irrelevant. Cypher played his normal game, t9 was close, Cooller rushed on t7. More or less expected.

In the last three years, Cypher has undoubtedly been the better overall player, but the gap is narrowing. Based on current LAN results, I'd say the probability of Cooller beating Cypher at IEM finals is somewhere between 0.4 and 0.45.
