No drama.

Dear god last night went so well.

Everyone on my admin team was on fucking point. The admin team had separated into delegated duties for the night. I mostly sat back with my only duty being to interface with QL.tv and make sure they were in games, but nino`, psyn, and stevo were the heroes for taking care of brackets and spawning servers.

Games went well, and the broadcasters were able to just jump from one game to another all night with minimal delays (except that one time when I think the software bugged out and advanced a player without having an actual result) because players were very willing to wait around a little bit to have their games broadcasted.

There was shittalk in IRC about Europe vs. American scenes, which was great (file it under what the fighting game community calls HYPE).

Towards the end Walter looked like he was going to ragequit so many times, and actually DID ragequit in the upper bracket finals, but someone convinced him to stick around and keep playing in lower bracket, and he managed to stick it out and win the night, thus the: "...and what could very well be the setting of an amazing new precedent..."

Judge's play got more and more entertaining as the night went on, as anyone could tell if you kept watching him you could tell it was past his bedtime.

DM13 was all shenanigans, all night.

PLENTY of highlight reel moments, I'm certain that some of those demos need to start showing up in the hands of some reel editors.

All in all a great night, MUCH better than last week.

sounds good. hopefully we get some pro players signing up to these cups soon. i see the eu players every weekend but would like to see more of rapha, dahang, dkt, chance, vo0, ...
btw, linking the brackets in the news post might be a good idea

It will probably take some prizes for pros to enter into the tournament. It's held on Saturday evening/night so they probably need some type of motivator to cancel their plans to play in it.

what's with all the byes?

There are no byes...They report scores as 1-0 for all wins. I don't know why, I rather see if scores were 2-1 or 2-0
