i think T220HD has a tv tuner inside, and probaly worse performance. most samsung moniters are pretty good, i'm happy with my 2494hm.

Tell your friend to bide his time and wait until he can afford a 120Hz monitor. No point in getting anything else.

They're not even that expensive anymore. I got mine for about $300 from Amazon.com.

If he's going to make a stupid decision though, no there is nothing better than the 226BW as far as 60hz LCD monitors are concerned.

Tell him to just wait until he can get a 120Hz one man, trust me.

from reviews 226BW is really nice monitor :P, why he should not buy one of these if he doesnt play quake? its 2x cheaper than samsung 120hz and, for little more money he can buy something better than TN panel :p
