what can i say, EMS tdm, gameon, basicly everything besides the LAN's have been a total failure when it comes to coverage. I was really looking forward to seeing some high level tdm games being played with 2gd commentating but oh well

EMS Final will be on ESL TV probably, same for the ENC matches

Yeah I liked how 2GD talked up TDM and then didn't deliver shit.

I doubt that it is up to 2GD to decide what gets streamed and what doesn't.
But yeah ESL should have delivered :(

This looked like a cool tourney when it started but looking at the finals it certainly seems more like a joke than anything else. How many players participated in the finals ?

I see strenx got a bye into the finals after he reached the playoffs. So it cant be that many.. Seems like there was a very big communication break down between the sponsor and those who were supposed to take care of it ? It was like that at DH to.. ( Nordic finals ) Where nobody seemed to know when/how/if the finals could be played.. I really got the feeling that the sponsors just somehow expected the tourney to happen there without having made anybody responsible.

Like i said from the beginning. This was just the worst shit ever.

Nah, I think they just forfeited the matches. Fox made a post the the schedule was really restrictive and on short notice.
And while valentine's day may be the perfect tournament date for the average gamer that's not true for everyone.

world iem finals will be played online on valentines and on short notice ,so yeah,it will probably be the same story

This is pathetic. they went through all this work to do qualifiers in every country, only to restrict the players schedules enough that THREE of the ten players show up for the finals!? There could have been some really good games for people to watch and enjoy. Just a shame.

lol yeh, by the time i made my own announcement to keep an eye on the upcoming days for gameon matches, it turned out that already 2 games had been played.

ESL website is a mess, and now that i hear about such restrictions on schedule, it's just ridiculous...

Makes me feel like, yeh geez, let us little streamers put all the effort in sharing games with the viewers and then get shut off last minute for the conclusive games because either they themselves do the finals, or they simply don't inform nobody.

my 2c: ESL: keep your viewers in mind! not your own agenda!

keeping viewers in mind is their main goal tho.

would be really weird if they were just hosting the event to give away free prizes to some winner noone ever saw playing.

From what I can recall, I think most international LAN tournaments had at least one dropout. So, it's good to know that if that happens, there'll be a very worthy replacement.

Ah, so it's a spec pass! How ridiculous. I mean, c'mon, it could very well be predicted that the winner of GameOn finals would have already placed at CeBIT and wouldn't need a spec pass. Besides, just imagine somebody thinking 'Oh, I want to win GameOn finals so much, then I can go and spec all those whom I've won!!!' Sad... I believed all the while that it could be a second chance for somebody.
