Myself and Marcus "djWHEAT" Graham will be casting the final day of the Silent Gamers Cup (Brackets: WB, LB). The following will be the attempted stream running order:
At the conclusion of the event, Street Fighter legend Alex Valle will be coming on to talk about a new fighting tournament series he is a part of that is launching called the SoCal Level|Up Tournament series. The debut event will is set to take place next weekend, February 27th, at Dave & Busters at The Block at Orange. There will be a 64-man tournament in Street Fighter 4 and Tekken 6, featuring the west coast's top players and a bonus $1,000 for each winner. Level|Up COO Jimmy "ShinJN" Nguyen and media specialist AJ "PotatoHead" Papa will be joining the call as well to talk about the release and concept of this project, the first event next weekend, and what we might see in the future, including the release of Super Street Fighter 4 in the near future.
- Starcraft 2 Beta is out! Will discuss our thoughts so far and those of the hardcore Starcraft community
- Major League Gaming has launched the site for their Combine event series, as well as announced the dates and locations for their first four events, which will be held in Nashville (Mar 26-28), Chicago (May 14-16), Denver (Jul 23-25) and Washington DC (Oct15-17).
- The Electronic Sports League has announced a $170,000 prize purse for their Global Finals at CeBIT next month. It has also been noted that the ESL has removed the Intel logo from the German portion of its website, and has said that changes will be coming with the combined power of two partners. Could Intel no longer be affiliated with ESL?
Chance vs Dahang will be really good. Dahang to win me thinks but will probably be very close. Tehnewbz vs ZeRo4 will be very interesting, my moneys actualy on Tehnewbz.
Tehnewbz has beaten Rapha before, so I'm led to believe. These two could make for a good final.
Sticky things really annoy me. I always look at the first post to see if there's anything new, if if it hasn't changed it just looks like there's no news.
It's also annoying when people just update news posts and change the date. Doing that makes a lot of the original comments not make sense. Why not have 2 different posts?
At the conclusion of the event, Street Fighter legend United States of America Alex Valle will be coming on to talk about a new fighting tournament series he is a part of that is launching called the SoCal Level|Up Tournament series. The debut event will is set to take place next weekend, February 27th, at Dave & Busters at The Block at Orange.
Ha! That's like 10 miles from my house.
Still probly won't check it out, tho. :P
Hiis acceleration feels surprisingly low and his sens is pretty normal.. its just that he uses his whole arm waving the mouse around like a seismometer in haiti. ( oh I didnt )
off topic but
TTimo: QL isn't my primary project anymore. Am just here as a spectator at this point. I don't decide what gets worked on or anything at this point.
was getting a bit pissed of with wheat when he doesnt understand that people delay ra on dm6 so it doesnt spawn the same time as mh and doesnt understand people collect health before picking up mh to have have more health in total but he sure knows how to make a game exciting :D
Swooped vs Tehnewbz ztn - what a game!!! :D haha!
Overtime city! :)
Wheat talking about Tehnewbz just as the first overtime happens:-
"OH MY GOD!! he had it, he had everything! He was the guy who'd just won the lottery. He had 50 million dollars! Then he got on crack! and blew it all on crack!"
:D :D :D :D
it was never really 7k, it was bugged in some way. at one point it was 50k.
considering how big this tourney is, these numbers are very impressive. slasher did a good job of spreding it around.
djwheat is fucking outstanding at casting quake, really entertaining. If he had the knowledge of duel that 2gd has he'd be the best quake shoutcaster ever.
I don't think 2gd + Wheat casting together would be good, because both of them hog the mic, but slasher as Wheats 2nd man is just terrible. He isn't good enough, he hardly brings anything new to casting, just reiterates what we've seen on the stream like captain fucking obvious then goes 'oooooooh! aaaaah!' and shit.. wtf?
well djwheat is the definition of play by play, and 2gd's knowledge etc is supposed to be the 'expert', however he often over rules jay. i think as a team 2gd would shut up more and only bring the really great insight, wheat is definitely professional enough to get the right mix in.
i dont understand why people point that out.. everything 2gd says is either really informative or really funny and he lets joe to do the "omg what a rocket!" just enough imo
Also, apart from Joe's kicking in when 2gd cares to take a breath, they interact with each other really nicely. Like their humor and stuff coming together. Especially, they don't seem to compete for anything.
Great team as they are. Would be a shame to change that.
Wheat is very good to listen to because he flows very nicely, I think he could probably cast on any type of competitive game and it would be entertaining.. Slasher is good backup, provides steady knowledge and allows Wheat do his emotional action sports style commentary without any ego getting in the way
2gd is great aswell, but slightly different, more knowledgeable, however he's also very dominant, so I think him and Wheat together (maybe its already happened) wouldn't be such a great combo, could probably be quite competitive.
My favorite is still Tasteless for the starcraft, he's just got the elusive quality of being a very witty funny bastard and genuinely gets excited during the games without having to force it.
Aah they're all good, certainly beats the nerds of old who all sounded like they were on a first date or something
omg, dahang has to upload his pov from that DM13 game against rapha. Crazy fucking ninja shit all the way through, I've forgiven him for the Z4 ztn earlier.
btw stream has been very good for me all the way through, slight 5-sec buffer like once every 1-2 map. good casting too wheat and slasher, bar the fucking schedule still every time. :)
Troglodyte #1: Uh, do troglodytes go to heaven?
Debbie: Um ... no.
Troglodyte #1: Is it cause I'm gay?
Debbie: You're gay?
Troglodyte #1: We're kind of all gay
Troglodyte #2: Yeah, there's no lava women.
Debbie: Then I'm afraid you're all going to burn in fiery lava pits for the
rest of eternity.
(all the troglodytes cheer)
Troglodyte #1: Lava gay man, yay!
Amazing fun and nice stream., but frankly rapha and dahang are not too impressive. Doubt they can take nr 1 this time now the euro big boys have reached their old supersaiyan modes.
of course it could just be they aren't wanting to show all their game before the big showdown....
I don't think I'd want my competitors knowing ALL my moves or style except for what I'd want them to know, considering the level of play we're talking about here
american final? no way, cypher will beat rapha though its not even sure if they will both win their group, so it might not be the final. cooller is the real winner anyway
looks like he's back from retirement to get some more ass whooping from COOLLER
