Alienware =Over priced

get the Acer if you want Full HD or just go for the Viewsonic.

Yep I know, unfortunately I live in Australia and at the moment it seems this is the only one that I can get with Full HD and that display size (23"). Even if the Acer were to be available, these sort of things here in Australia are ridiculously overpriced compared to other countries and there wouldn't be a lot of difference in the price between the two.

What is the model number of the Viewsonic LCD you are referring to? In Australia the only one available is the VX2268wm which is a 22".

Hahah yeh it seems they are really slow processing orders. I ordered last Sunday and had to call today to ask them what was going on, They said they hadn't processed the payment due to some error or something, but I was never told. I've seen some of you have ordered a couple some weeks ago, I guess it'll take a while for mine to be delivered, but I'm not in a rush I still have to build my pc first lol.

The monitor feels great. It's the first LCD I can compare with my old CRT.

Anyhow, apparently mine is coming on or before the 19th of May.
Pretty happy with my experience with dell this far, expected to wait a month or so. Plus they responded to my emails really promptly. I'd recommend this, but you won't get 3d with ATi when they finally release it. (meh)

why wont ATI 3D work with it? since it's 120hz it should be capable.

I just recieved word that my monitor is coming on monday. Basically 6 days from the time i placed my order, and the money only got taken out on Wed :D

Movement is a lot more fluid, but the difference between my 75hz LCD isn't massively amazing, but it is noticeable. I like the AW tho.

For you considering playing quake on these shit monitors, i bought the 2233rz and ditched it after about 7 seconds into quake 3. It is absolutely unplayable for anyone reaching for a higher level than people playing with touchpads on laptops.

So since i like the extra desktop place, what worked for me is not playing Quake.
