None of the SC players you see playing SC2 can be considered even close to the top of SC. Even players like ret struggle to get high in iccup (B+ highest, I believe), and are lightyears behind the korean pro scene.
Well, the best US and EU players are still good enough to be entertaining to watch. As for SC2, the Koreans don't have the same edge as they do in SC1 (yet).
Artosis has played against some pro players but none of the games I've watched have been that interesting.
But if there arent many replays of decent koreans in circulation, you have to watch the top EU and NA players, regardless of if they are better or not.
He played against several pro gamers. Check out his replay pack, there was a post somewhere on TL which goes into detail of who some of the players are.
I'd say the only creative play was in the last game. Watching dimaga open in the same way every time was just meh (guess there's a reason why he did that tho). Not complaining on you pasting those replays, just the general standard of sc2 games if those strats were considered creative. I mean, dimaga didn't even have any clue about what was happening in game 3, he just went with the same strat that he did in every game, no matter what luci was doing. Kinda disappointed tbh :( Or am i missing something crucial?
Game 1: Mass Hellions with drops
Game 2: Fast Banshee and fast Expansion
Game 3: Mass vikings with cliff abusing
Of course, generally speaking it is very rare for all games in a series to be creative, however, Lucifron showed some interesting plays in all of them, especially the first and last game.
It's still fun to see it evolve (like the new ZvZ anti-roach build that DJPulse used in ZOTAC today), but just don't expect to see pro-quality games. =P
