Is that full-on hard plastic or is it a hybrid? looks like cloth in some of the close-ups.

And yhea, that heaton mousepad is way, way to expensive. :(

i've already tried that Spawn pad, it's actually cloth but has a rather stiff surface with good glide. I'm just getting the itch to try the Heaton pad, but the price is the only reason i haven't tried it yet.

ya, it's cloth but but its designed as a hard pad.

That pad is a soft pad, but they released a Spawn pad that is plastic called the swift or something

Pro's:

+ Large size
+ It is softunderneath so the pad wont slide across your table, yet, the top is plastic, which makes the pad something of a hybrid between a soft and hard mouespad.
+ Smooth and the mouse slides well, yet there is a noticable friction, which is good for hard mousepads.
+ It has a good and clean look. It looks good in a descrete way.

Con's:

- Not good for travelling (to LAN's etc). That might sound like a triviality, but as he explains in the clip, you cannot roll it like a clothpad since it has plastic and is a bit hard. And its so big that you cant fit it into a normal size bag that you carry. You need a suitcase to carry it around, unless you have it in your hand.


Conclusion:
The best parts is how it 'feels' during the time he played with it, it feels great.
It's a good pad, its not terrible and its not ownage. What drags it down from ownage is the practical part with as mentioned above under Con's.

Im from sweden and bought the pad last summer when it came out here.

Its a great pad, slightly more friction than func F30.R but has the needed size both vertically and horizontally.

The major problem is that it wear out really quick, it was done after only three months of medium usage.

I just got my puretrak talent today and noticed that they feel rather similar in friction.

Three months is terribly short for a mousepad this expensive.

Inferior to cloth, not great with lasers (pewpew) and to smooth for rough surface lovers and pricey.

I'm using it right now due to spilling soda all over my goliathus (rough version)

what a hardpad has tracking issues with some mice? are you kidding? (the "not great with lasers" part)
