one event removed t4 from the pool and then every tournament did the same. why esl and especially weekly online tourneys like zotac/g-data are so afraid to mix it up every once in a while is incredible to me.

cpma netcode is what made it superior, especially in the states

cpma netcode made the online tournaments possible to play with 60-70 ping.

cpma netcode made the lans look like a crapfest with people praising cypher for being brave enough to use the rocket launcher for something besides rocketjumping, unlike the others.

cpma is a obvious better choice for internet play, even today quakelive feels nothing like cpma honestly when playing on slightly higher ping, however I agree that osp on lan is the best form of quake 3 of all time in terms of how it felt.

I personally like it very much that tournaments look at each other for the maplist as it decreases the amount of maps you'd have to practice.

Though with the introduction of ESL's elimination method of picking a map, I wouldn't mind the maplist getting a little bigger as you could still force your unpracticed map out.

Let's look at rapha's resume in 3 or 4 years again. At that point at the earliest, we may reasonably speculate if he could possibly considered a legend sometime in the future.

You can be a legend for being a faggot and also for dominating the game. It works both ways. There are plenty of people in sport's who may not have been the most liked personality but they're still legend's in their own right.

You can be a legend (doesn't matter, legendary faggot or legendary winner or whatever else) only if public considers you so. Winning a lot of tourneys is only the first step on the way to become legendary, it doesn't grant you the legend status straight away.
