This is relevant to my interests.

The 3.0 is to low dpi for aging gamers like myself (can't do 360\80cm anymore)
Laser is way to accurate for gaming mice (you dont want sensor to read texture or grains of dust)

Hope it is able to run 500hz, if so I'm sold.

It's too bad they've put the side buttons more to the front. If only someone would use the IMO1.1 shape and put new tech in it. Steelseries intended to do such a thing with the Xai, did some good improvements, but the side buttons are also misplaced (the way I hold it)

1000 dpi is enough for 90% of the gamers, most dont have such low sens / high res screen

400dpi is enough for every gamer, as long as they're not retards playing on a 4 1920*1080 screens rig with 1 inch/ 360.

well i thought i read that you use a g9x. g9x has positive accel that cant be fixed.
admittedly i don't know much about this issue, but when i first started playing in 1680x1050 400dpi seemed unplayable.
i will try it again perhaps and just raise my in game sens a shitload.

could somebody explain me what is so special about bluetrack? does mice track well of high range of surfaces, as advertised?

bluetrack is a codename for laser that is not completely useless and shines blue

BlueTrack doesn't use a laser, still LED.

Just read a post in a german forum, he sent his one back after 1h cause the sensor was crap, at least for a low-senser

I bought it, yesterday after reading this thread at work. It seems fine after toying with it a couple of minutes but noticed a couple of things.

The lens is positioned lower down than on other mice ive seen.

it skipped faster than abyssus but probably acceptable speed for most.(tested on func 30r).

There is something weird going on with the scroll wheel when pressed.

Its not that light.

shape is close to wmo/ 1.1 but worse.

button1 and 2 is somewhat hard to press

initial impression is "meh"

What is the lens position.. centered and rearside?
Are the side buttons easily avoided when lifting(or hard gripping)?

Putting the sensor so low is a bad idea.

I'm holding it in my hand (work at a computer shop), and it doenst feel like the IMO or WMO that much. Its higher, more bold and the sides dont grip well. Because of the shape, but also because of the surface used for the sides, it slips. Next to that, the mouse wheel doesnt work in "steps".

OK, but more friction than my 4-spot-feet mouse.

Fills hand quite much.
The best outwards grip angle is, center below the side buttons, vertical going ~1mm out above.
Directly behind, it starts outwards to the rear, which is ~5.5mm out at an open angle. So it slopes for an angled thumb but especially for pinky (unless you go under the higher lip at the rear). And anywhere but snug to ring finger in middle (really bad for finger aim) is a DIScomfort.

Buttons:
Left thumb b: ..Quite Good
Good room for movement below so no accidental press. Not too high up. (although I'm used to reaching forward Instead of up). Normal soft "click" sound.

Right thumb b: ..Bad!
Ring finger crosses rear-half of it with clawgrip (palming BARELY clears it).

Left, right: ...medium
Takes average force to click (LOW chance of acc click). Sound is JUST slightly louder or sharper than standard soft (I've had quieter).

Wheel: .. medium
Smooth roll, no spin. Side scroll good and gives lower sound click (side-scroll needs intellipoint).
BUT, Middle-click takes too much force (~doubled), and sound is MORE noticeable (base'ier) than mb1,2.

Rubber surface:.. uuhm
OK you can push nail ~1 mm in, but it's still a hard surface. It looks JUST like standard textured plastic even same shine. Almost no better grip.

Also, funny enough.. it's constantly blinking when computer is off, or always lighted if you re-plug. (Not visible on table).

So for me it's a no.. unless I do a big mod, AND can get it to higher Hz.

Also as for the hz problem: Are you using windows 7 or windows xp? i suggest trying it on windows xp just to make sure that nothing went wrong during the long painful procedure of setting a mouse to anything above 125hz in windows 7

ABOUT THE RATE:
I use hidusbf.zip to change (1.1a) rate.
Interestingly 4500 name is only generic |USB HID(human inter..) |HID-kompatib... and it says "no" on "mouse" (doesn't list with "mouses only"), unlike 1.1a and BlueTr "Explorer mouse".
But despite that, I can't get the bt explorer mouse any higher either.

The low correction seems to be identical (and high speed behaviour) to explorer mouse (Bluetr), and although they have same perf. specs i.e. likely same hardware, I still wonder if ALL Bluetracks will use the same amount.

did you try making it set the polling rate of all the devices to 1000hz? maybe windows doesnt properly recognize it as a mouse or something.

Removed all USB except mouse and reboot.
And with "filter on device" enabled and "mouses only" off, I can set 31, 62, 125Hz.. any higher still is 125 (127).

it means that when the mouse can't keep up with ur hand movements speed, it stops tracking or skips ur last movement

If they have toggled dpi to 400 to 1200 with 500hz they would have better mouse.
They must capped mouse rate to 125hz or many of us would loved it and no one would buy their crappy SW x8

Damn, I was excited when I saw this mouse at the mall. A mouse with less than 500hz and any degree of prediction or acceleration is unacceptable for me. I wish there were more mice that perform like the wmo/imo.

Bought this mouse yesterday when I saw it at OfficeMax looking for a replacement WMO, "BlueTrack" technology is bullshit IMO. The sensor is meh and like the posters above, I can't get it above 125hz in hidusbf. It doesn't show up as a mouse and if you try to enable 500hz by unchecking "mouse only" it doesn't make a difference. It sucks because I really like the shape of it. If it had the WMO sensor in it and had 500hz support I would definitely consider switching.
