you know how to test your current fps and if different settings can give you a boost?
goto practice match, start one, type in "timedemo 1" and run a random demo of yours, at the end you get disconnected, open the console and the average fps get displayed
if your notebook can interpolate any input resolution, you could lower your resolution to let's say 640x480
r_enablepostprocess 0
gives a good boost
i don't know how to alter the setting via console, but using vertex light instead of lightmap should give a boost (accessible via game settings)
yakumo suggest following experimental adjustments to sound processing for a boost of 10 fps:
s_mixahead 0.110
s_mixPreStep 0.06
try the different settings for r_texturemode, maybe theres smth for you
r_ext_compressed_textures 1 should have a negative influence on your fps, but try it plz
a lower fov might give a better performance too...
and ofc there are the usual settings, like
r_lodbias 2
cg_marks 0
r_fastsky 1
cg_simpleitems 1
cg_brasstime 0
cg_drawgun 0
cg_gibs 0
cg_shadows 0
r_dynamiclight 0
r_picmip shouldn't give a performance boost with todays big memory on graphic chips, but maybe try r_picmip 5 or 8 to test it
r_subdivisions 80
cg_waterwarp 0
s_ambient 0
s_musicvolume 0
cg_smoke_sg 0
cg_smokeradius_rl 0
cg_smokeradius_gl 0
cg_smokeradius_ng 0
if you have a multiple core cpu and nvidia graphics card make sure you set threaded optimization for your internet browser to off.
and then set the affinity of your browser to 1 core.
this makes a huge difference.
