what kind of grip style do you like/prefer/use? Also what happened to your diamondback?

For regular usage on the desktop, I'm way too lazy for 400 DPI.

As for ergonomics, the way my hand is proportioned turns basically any mouse into a fingertip mouse. I have a smallish palm with long fingers, but you wouldn't know it just from looking at it. MX5XX, DA, even massive things like my old MX1000. The mice that fit my hand the best are usually ambidextrous ones because they have a cut out on both sides to hold it up with, though the MX5XX shape fits all right. I've never used a mouse shaped like the Ikari, so I can't really comment on it. I'm using a DA right now, but the plastic on the sides it hard to grip if my hand starts sweating. If I can't find one that both fits my hand and tracks well on the QcK, I'll design my own casing for it and get shapeways to print it out.

I'd probably have already gotten a G500, but I've heard that that skips easily on a QcK. I've heard that the Raindrop doesn't have this problem, but I've also heard it has a lot more drag.

As for my Diamondback, after many years, the scroll wheel started acting up. It would miss notches, scroll two notches, and sometimes scrolling a notch or two in the wrong direction.

there's no way you'll reach skipping speeds with the g500 on qck+ with 18cm/360. i have that mouse and the same pad as you also. (but im using the salmosa because i hate the g500)
It has other flaws though, it's extremly heavy, has unevenly distributed weight and you get positive accel @ speeds above cirka 1.0-1.3 m/s (although im not sure how much this would affect someone with a high sensitivity.)
regardless I wouldnt recommend the g500 due to the weight issues, if you like the shape then get the mx518 instead, sure it has prediction but thats completely negligible when compared to the weight and accel issues of the g500.

the da is great, unless you hate the shape i think you should stick to that tbh. try putting some duct tape on the sides of the da or using something like this:

if you're having jittering issues on the qck+ try lowering the dpi just for when gaming. that works with my salmosa.

Is the Salmosa looks like it's made from the same glossy plastic as the DA, is that the case?

As for the DA, it's already wider than I would like, and putting extra grips on the side isn't going to make it any better in that regard.

It seems as though the Ikari's PCB is way too big to fit into anything more my size, but I did notice that the DA 3G's circuit board is pretty narrow, I might try making something with that.

Salmosa's glossy on the sides and rubbery on the top, just like the DA.
