anyway, i watched it back then i think, and it's interesting! all that stuff about how the structure of things can influence how things work, besides relying on the fine-grained source-laws of physics.

for instance, that crystals form different forms in different temperatures, pressure, and maybe even when exposed to different fields (like cymatics, in 3d + time!). i also read some time ago about nano-bubbles in liquid being suprisingly more persistant than they had previously thought

it's also interesing that they are indeed finding quantum-effects in biological systems such as bird navigation (i think), in our own noses (quantum tunneling to jump a gap) and in photosynthesis (to increase effectiveness). i tended to disregard _all_ such things back when a physicist proposed the quantum-world could "reach up" to our world with its weirdness and that it could even have something to do with consciousness (which is on the order of milliseconds afaik).

i still don't think those weird effects are needed (much less necessary) to explain consciousness, but i'm no longer so sure, while back then i was fairly certain; my doubts have ever since had to retreat up the scales (receeded nano to low-bio-scale).

as for ideas such as love having an effect on water, i have just no way to imagine how that could work. while some primitive memory can exist in water through interesting properties, here again, there is a gap between levels. love needs to radiate more explicitly out of the brain (it does not), and memory in liquid needs extreme (time) extention to even be plausible in homeopathy.

that means, if electromagnetic waves can influence water (and it can, like light can heat it etc), there is a chance that thought can influence water.

however, as we are dealing with electromagnetism - and nothing else - in either case, the same rules and levels of radiation and so on going out from the head - and we can measure this, must in other circumstances (out from other things than heads) lead to the same phenomena.

He then proceeds to answer by using this disgusting metaphor of the picture: If you get way too close to a picture, you only see a stain that doesn't make sense. If you get far from it, being able to see the whole picture, you see how this stain contributes to the harmony of the totally of it to form that beautiful image and so on. Basically, what he is saying, is that the child that died from a terminal disease somehow contributes to the balance of the universe and whatnot. This is ideology at its purest.

It is amazing how far the mind would go to not accept that it just happens. Same with Religion. It is better to imagine that a catastropy has been delivered to you by God as a punishment rather than seeing it as completely devoid of sense.

what do you consider main stream science? crap tv shows on commercial channels? maybe go try some science courses at university, because they tell quite a different story than you do and are actually based on logic and experiments that anyone can repeat and verify.
