Could actually be an interesting concept if it was 1 flag CTF. The attacking team should either have limited respawns, a flag capture goal to win (like 4 flags to win the map) or teams play one round on each side and the team with the most captures wins.

It is terrible for 2 flag ctf as you can not replenish health or ammo without suiciding. This makes the game TDM heavy and boring on normal CTF maps, since if you damage an attacker on the way in he will have no means of stacking up for his way out. It essentially becomes a water down version of CTF where most of the need for strategy and need for smart play goes out the window.
