nice map so far, but i think it would be better for dueling then team dm

therefore:

replace ra with the ya above quad,
put ra at the quad spawn,
make the lava at quad more like the dm13-lava, so you can rocket-jump out of it
add a teleporter in the water at rail with the exit right above rail

But.. I totally demand more awesome maps for 2v2 in CPM, cpm25 is really the only GREAT map in that department.

As for cityy, we'll try the map when Mazu gets back :)

I'm most likely gonna create a seperate duel version of this and ship both versions in the same pk3. Thanks for the feedback, I'm gonna consider the things you listed.

The original post has been updated. I changed the item placement so the map is should be playable in duel now (this fits the competition better). There will be a TDM version again when this got enough testing.

I had a look at it for a while, and I think for a duel map its too big. I get the feeling the MH room should be more where the PG room/area is,with the YA room on the side of the MH room instead of on the side of the PG room and so on. Ideally I would also want to either remove the RG room and make the GA room bigger, or just remove the GA room. In short I think the map needs to be scrunched up a bit more and have a more central arena (the MH room) and the RA should be more closed off (with just 3-4 entrances/exits possible).

Having it so the RG is really hard to get I find usually means only the one in control has it, however with the map being large it shouldn't be a problem, however because its also quite large and yet open, the fights may be reduced to mostly snipe fests and could miss a lot of up close action, the reason being that after a certain distance too many rail shots can be made and with two evenly matched players they will hardly ever meet and the items such as RA will be down to who sniped the most, and the down player won't even show up, and that will result in little action around the nice looking RA area.

One other small thing, I didn't like that you couldn't RJ off the MH grating.

Sorry if my post comes across too negative, I don't mean any harm by it :) just trying to say what I honestly think. I think the map looks amazing btw, I love the Q2 style architecture :)

I think really what I would do instead of all that though is just say its an FFA map for the competition, and then work on the TDM or duel versions. Or, I think it also has some potential as a CTF map, if the flags are at MH and the RA is the mid so you have to jump over the lava (and also maybe connect up the side rooms with a bridge on one side and an accel pad on the other). Depens how fast you could do it though I suppose! And I guess I am pretty late? -_- But anyway I hope you find something useful in my post whatever you choose to do :)
