The list is too big and it's no matter for newbies. It will only cause whine/flame called "but if they can't <insert what you think is easy for people that can only run www.quakelive.com > they are idiots/morons/etc" so i chose to save another reason for trolling.

I can post 2 most common errors after PR 1.32 installation:
-archive is corrupted = one of the pak's have bad size = client disconnect because pure check fail
-archive is ok, but the installer itself not always replace quake3.exe = user interface is version 4 expected 3

It cannot be nquake way because of pure system - you can have a replacement for pak0 but no one server will let you connect.

Good suggestion. It will be added.

Add those fuctions:

1) Search for maps on harddrive where pak0.pk3 is pointed.
2) Skip files which is already installed on where installation folder is set.

That helps a lot who wants a clean q3 installation but already have some files (especially maps). That will reduce waiting time, also save bandwith and traffic.

It have some kind of behavior, but only when it comes to the folder where files are downloaded: if maps are exist, it won't download it again (exception are Cpma mod and maps). I can ask about "copy from source folder all files that math (name and size) items from cfg" but now i have one problem:

I chose to have 2-level verification for 1.32 and Cpma maps because those are most important things. When i forfeit this idea, i can make what you suggest but the question is: what is more important ? 2-level verification for 1.32 and Cpma maps when a newbie use this application or maps-check when someone wants update his old Q3 installation ?

The only thing i can change is to separate Cpma and Cpma mappack to allow for Cpma updating without having to download Cpma Mappack again. Let's hope that newbies won't be so stupid to uncheck default content.

After that change it might work in a way that you suggest.

Pls create account and use reply function. It generate log.txt file every time you start the program so start it, try to use it and in case of an error close program and send this file to my email.

And you ofc can use this tool when Q3 is in a steamfolder. Just enter "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\quake 3 arena\" in second box and don't care about first.

Everything works for me, application, download links etc.

btw once this thing is fixed it really should be stickied on the top by/underneath the esreality banner. if you want to introduce new people to the game just give them the link and tell them to dl the pro installer. i've tried to introduce about 6 people to q3 but they give up because (like me) they don't know a thing about installing cpma/ra3/3wave etc.

Since last major update i don't change anything except updating Cpma to 1.48 and Game Scanner to 2.0.27 and switch to new hosting.

If you have any suggestion about what should be added/changed then just write it here.
