yeah it seems people think that any caster is better than no caster. Its a shame having to mute the games :/. Isn't it possible to send two sound sources? One with commentator and one without.

i think the ranters here should be glad that there are streamers who spend each weekend broadcasting matches. without those broadcasters there would be absolutely no sponsored cups with prizes at all and due to that you wouldn't have any pros playing, showing you amazing matches every week.

We're glad they're streaming the games. We'll be even more if they shut up.

Agreed. I'm totally fine with the casting amounting to friendly banter, also because it doesn't come across as a sales show. It could also go "buy gdata this and zotac that" major parts of the time, like it's happening elsewhere.

And forecast does a really nice job, specifically in orchestrating the conversation with whoever people care to drop in. All this is fully appreciated.

Why should they be thankful? Not only are they sitting behind computers being upset at failing streams and inadequate casting while they could be enjoying outdoor activities or acquiring life-improving skills, some of them are being exploited, by being influenced to spend money on useless brand-name electronics. Money that they earned through hard, underpaid, manual labour, or service industry. Obviously the whole thing exists because of this exploitation. So why should they be thankful?

it's not about broadcasting matches but about the commentators, don't move the discussion somewhere else
use pertinent shoutcasters who are not thinking at football while they shoutcast quake, or don't put anyone to shoutcast -better just ingame sounds than hearing a guy which doesn't know shit abt the game
how would you like while you watch a football match the comentator to talk about golf or random shit all the time? you could pretty well use some obama speech while watching matches then

You guys can't shout cast at all. I was watching the stream and you were going back and forth about soccer and ridiculously boring stuff instead of casting quake. You even got the maps wrong and announced that guard had beaten strenx and won the 100 dollars when they were only 2 maps into the grand final. If you aren't going to shout cast properly just leave it to stream with normal quake sounds.

people seem to make mistakes. I corrected myself on stream. you are invited to join us on ts if you feel that we need an amount of improvement. however pointing that out on esr long after the cast with limited information is way better!

sorry guys for jumping to the fifa wc in the middle, but we don't go away from the action if the game isn't one-sided and/or semi-final onwards.

to the point of "being grateful": we are aware, that we cannot meet everybody's requirement of quality out there. neither for audio, nor video. however we invest a lot of time doing the coverages, bringing you LIVE games. so if you want to stick to a demo afterwards, that's fine. if you want to see it live, you can try to randomspec (tbh admins and all streams are pretty clear about the fact that they are annoying). or you just go to the website and live with how we do it. I dont want viewers to be grateful, but I would like to see them show at least a bit respect towards streamers.

You guys need to lose the "I am god (since I cast?)" attitude, maybe the cast would suck less then. At the moment all I'm hearing on the stream is "how awesome we are", while you don't really understand the game and your casting is pretty dire.

Accept that you're bollocks at casting, listen to what people are saying and try to learn from it instead of acting defensive. Maybe you will get some respect then, too.

People would be more thankful if the casters would be just calm. Would be cool. :)
