A study by Adidas last year showed the altitude will have an impact of up to 5 percent on the ball's speed, meaning a 20-yard free kick will reach the goal line 5 percent faster than it would at sea level.
It has the most consistent flight of any ball used in football competitions and it's also faster (add to that many of the stadiums are at high altitude).
"In true revolutionary style, the underdog Americans came from behind and blasted the powerful Brits to a nail-biting 1-1 draw yesterday in one of the all-time great World Cup soccer battles."
yeah but still.. only 3 games from 7 so far had at least 2 goals, 3 ties.. and when u add the constant monotone buzz the games look generic and dull mostly :/
But yeah, it's rather dull so far, but what do you expect from a world cup?
National teams are notoriously poor in comparison to clubs after all, and the group stages are filled with teams who's only chance is to draw and steal a win.
