Since previous application and coder had such warm welcome, i don't even bother to try write anything.

What maps ? Our application don't do anything except "Click the link to map" with every person who wants to download any maps from Internet do. It's the same thing so how this can be legal issue ?

you only need pak0.pk3, all other parts you get with 1.32 which anyone can download legaly

right now we on esr major 80% of the news because the user admins ARE from the community, we work there. why else we like ESR so much.

i would like to see a major news, but we need something new in the installer. if there is some change feel free to post it and we will get major. ESR is the best place to start a Promotion for this project, other sites will follow because some admins work/write for other sites and the community is reading ESR. keep us informed.

Good to hear this. I'm project leader. But now i want to mange "configs" thing as Zer1toN suggest. It make take a day or two but i will definitely write about it.

some hints, the installer is missing OSP mod. i know cpma is the modern mod blabla but q3 still has OSP servers. needs to be included.

I don't speak about people, only about outdated mod. All CTF scene switch to QL so putting OSP to PI is nonsense for me. Newcomers must get best mod for online experience, OSP netcode is main reason to not give anyone opportunity to connect to some good server with 50 ping and feels like 100 compared to Cpma.

you could say the same thing about any q3 scene, that's not even an argument considering what you're trying to accomplish here (easy to install and ready to use q3). by not including osp you remove one of the most important mods in quake: ctf.

cpma changes player movement albeit only slightly it is enough to have a serious impact on ctf gameplay. that's why up until now osp is the mod to play q3ctf with. no one ever made an argument about osp's netcode, the reason for staying with osp are the game physics.

so many interesting projects have been spoilt by the ego's of their devs, don't let this be the next one.

i thought the project wanted to collect and offer important mods in the package. im not saying this as an OSP fanboy, maybe OSP is a dying mod, okay, but if i browse servers there are OSP servers online with OSP mappack, and OSP was, as we know, the longtime tourney mod. it was a part of q3. excessive or noghost for example isnt the same category.

it shortens the time to switch to game/desktop, because normally if you switch from desktop to the game, the game will render the picture again. that need time.

if you use it you will like it.

you can send Lightning a bug report, im sure he will fix a bug.

there are hundreds of these "switch from game to desktop and vice versa" tools out there, but mini was the last one that worked without flaws, the author updated the thing in the past and now its good for many other games which are not official supported.
