TEK9 and Sapphire present the Sapphire Movie Contest, a grand movie contest with top prizes!

The Sapphire Movie Contest will pitch all aspiring moviemakers against the established elite in a fight to take home a Sapphire HD 5550 graphics card for the entire top five and another 250 € CASH for the top finisher. Unlike previously, this movie contest will not be for shortmovies but we have opened it up to movies of all sorts. Spanning across all games, moviemakers from around the globe can enter the competition and have plenty of time to produce their perfect movie.

Why do people need $$ CASH to enjoy making a good movie...
Why do these guys think this will motivate people making movies ?
By the way the timelimit is too short to start a new project so this will be nice for all the guys that made some movies for their pleasure and the community.

yup, I know, I've participated in 2 previous contests hosted by them. It's the community voting which makes it a pain for quake vids, since it's a cod community site.

I liked your last one! You'd be surprised how many people appreciate Quake movies on TEK9, a lot of COD players spend a fair bit of time playing Quake. Looking forward to your entry.

A lot of COD players are big time into movie making. Plenty of sniper montages and stuff is on youtube already. COD is based on the Quake engine, so the bloodline is the same :)
