Guess they moved the goal a little to the right to prevent Uruguay from winning.
lmao@gstructor
Müller best player of the tourney along with Villa, Forlan and Schweinsteiger imo.
This was his first season as a professional, which is unbelievable. 24 scoring points for Bayern in the Bundesliga, 5 in the CL, 8 in this world cup, scoring 5 goals and he's still got at least two world cups ahead of him. Simply amazing.
Like I said. He's 20 years old. The guy is still learning.
Same goes for Özil.
Have you seen him play vs. England in the U21-Euro finals?
I think you haven't seen him play at his 100% in this WC. There's still so much room for improvement. If he can access his full potential at professional level, sky's the limit.
I hope Arsenal gets him next year. Would be his best option imo.
Muller won't ever match the technique or vision of Bergkamp but that's no slight, Bergkamp had the greatest touch and vision of any player ever.
I saw someone saying that the best players are just marketed well and while it's not true for the most part, in Bergkamp's case it is true, greatest ever player but he didn't come close to that recognition (next to zero marketing).
Yeah, Müller will stay with Bayern the next 3-4 years.
Özil would be a great addition for Arsenal, no? Fabregas is leaving for Barca, isn't he.
I think he would match the overall philosophy of Wenger. Does Wenger play a 4-2-3-1?
Wenger's "classic" formation is a 442 but it plays very similar to the current German squad, but more like when Muller was playing in the middle and Ozil wide (after 60mins last night).
I can see 442 being used next season though:
Almunia
Sagna - Koscielny - Vermaelen - Clichy
Walcott/Nasri - Fabregas - Song - Arshavin
RvP - Chamakh
If Fabregas was sold, I see Wenger buying Melo and then playing Song - Melo (Gilberto/Parlour - Vieira).
The problem Ozil has is attacking midfield isn't an area that needs strengthening, even if Fabregas was sold, for him to come to Arsenal Rosicky (who can play deeper than Ozil) would definitely have to leave and potentially Arshavin (who can play as an SS) too.
Saying he doesn't have his technique completely invalidates the comparison, since Bergkamp was 90% technique. Also Bergkamp wasn't the sort of player that would run his lungs out for 90 minutes, like muller does.
So yeah they play at the same position maybe, but thats about it.
5 goals and suspense till the end. Fair referee, unbiased errors to both sides. Our goalkeeper was the main culprit, but everyone has bad matches and on the whole he was a good part of reaching this far. Suarez also fscked his oportunities. Forlan, parly injured, did a dobule air rox skill level goal. Germany played at its best the ones saying otherwise are delusional. Props to them. Luck wasnt on our side but Its part of football and they were increadibly effective in the most important part of the game, putting the ball in the net. gg
