i get some weird lags where my entire screen freezes multiple times in a row, but i think the entire server has it at the same time. and yes that was since like a month ago.
well u could always try the basics like, remove router and get straight on the modem (if possible). get rid of all other computers in ur network. spyware like u said. try ur 2nd network port (if u have one). try a diff computer on the same network (try to connect to the same server though). shut down as many (if not all) non essential services and then try playing. uhmmmmm what else is there... :>
well yeah ur not the only one, its probably idsoftware with a crappy patch/broken servers. i believe it happens nearly everywhere :E (at least in europe)
no wonder you say you miss even though your crosshair is spot on, how can you possible not have the crosshair spot on with that huge thing floating around
whats the point of that. ive got a 7800gtx with drivers from 3 months ago, i shouldnt of even bothered to update it back then cuz my card is way too old anyway, why update it now?
this shit started happening last month and i have exactly the same crap as 7herm. this is id's doing, makes more sense :>
I got the same problem, every time someone gets on the screen i get those net lags.
I have ATI HD4850, and as people said in here i tried to update my driver to Catalyst 10.6, but then my graphics were screwed up in-game, so i downloaded 10.3 and the graphics are fine, but i still have net lags. (Stupid me, that i forgot to test the net stuff with driver 10.6, but i just quitted when i saw the messed gfx)
Found on the quake live forums that the latest catalyst drivers (10.5 and 10.6) got trouble with almost all openGL games, so this is not a possibility to solve the lag issue.
