I hate Liam Fox but he's just paying lip service to something he's obviously been made aware of (probably originating within EA's marketing department) and been advised to speak out on, since no doubt some journalist would've/will turn this into some public outrage.
He's the Defense Secretary after all and British forces are out there being killed by the real Taliban.
He's not calling for the game to literally be banned in any official capacity, which should tell you all you need to know about how passionate Liam Fox is about this issue (that is, not at all).
Everyone should make fun of England, because it's totally fascist, and always has been, but the sole exception in its history - WWII - makes it today seem like some kind of good place.
Its quite shocking this man has peers who are directly responsible for keeping british solders over there who actually die and ruin the lives of others. IN REAL LIFE.
And then to talk about the moral implications of picking a texture mapped character and engaging in virtual representations of the reality his peers are responsible for.
