Definitely a great-looking map first off. I love how it's reminiscent of both Siberia and Ironworks from QL (might be unintentional) in terms of routes, weapon placement, and the overall feel.

I think the design and the textures go together very well, and this could easily be a great map to put in a tournament pool.

I think some things I would change is maybe putting the powerup where railgun is, although I do like it at the bottom and it causes for more fights, but I think one railgun in the middle of the map doesn't go well with the playing style as a whole. Maybe incorporate a railgun in each base somewhere in a secluded area. The last thing is I would lower the flag platform because I couldn't RJ up on top.. It's not necessarily a bad thing making players have to use the bouncepad, but in when time is counting down or you have players chasing your ass, I would like to be able to just RJ out of that bottom area.

Anyway, those are my opinions. Best of luck with the map! I hope to feature it in any upcoming tournament if you'll allow it :)

Thanks for the response. The problem with the map is that it's rather small and the item layout certainly is hard to adjust. In a previous version there was a railgun in base but it somehow did not play really well.. I actually like the fact you gotta move out of the base for getting the railgun. I don't really see why Quad should be on the upper level, maybe you can explain it a bit more?!
I can rocket jump onto the flag platform just fine btw. =)

About featuring it in a tournament:
I would love to see it played competetively. In it's current state it's not really playable yet though. (hence it's really dark and stuff) I'm gonna work on it..

Well with the new middle layout you have, now Quad looks better on the bottom. It was just the design before that didn't really seem to fit the powerup being on the bottom.

Also, I do like the new middle layout, but water damage 25/sec? People will get confused unless it's slime. :l

(And I RJ'd fine too, but it's still somewhat high)

Aye, the water is not doing damage anymore. Though I kept extending the mid adding water tunnels to the teleporter room.

Well, I do love the map altogether, but I feel the new additions weren't really needed. At first I thought the cage in the middle with railgun was sort of lame and didn't fit, but then I felt it required some skillful strafing to get through it, and then I think it could just go either way in the final release.

The water tunnel I used only once in the entire time I was running flag capture routes. I think it's a good alternative to the 5 other entry points, but I think it won't be used very often, just because it's such a slow way to get into the base. And with all the health and armor on the map, no one but maybe a very injured flag carrier might need a medkit.

The middle area you changed around Quad Damage is great. I like the little podium and I like how it's more diagonally proportioned, so it gives angle advantages and strafing mobility.

All-in-all I love how the map is turning out, but the cage and the water tunnel I don't think will really do the map a whole lot of justice.

I actually like the water tunnel... with a decent circle preparing your "dive", it's not that slow at all.

- medkit has been replaced with a 50 and 4 shards
- mid "cage" was removed, went for sumatra's suggestion instead
- clipping fixes
