note sure though if it is wise to show the dmg dealt for each weapon while the match is running, players could check the exact amount of dmg a shotgun shot or burst of lg did
It isn't really a bad thing IMHO.
First of all, it's not exactly easy thing to do. To use it, you should first look at the scoreboard before each fight, remember the current LG damage, then look after fight and precisely substract two numbers in your head (otherwise if you're just approximating the difference, then it's not much better than "by-feel" estimation). Usually you don't have time to do all of that mid-game.
And then, for example, let's say you can estimate by feel that you did 80-100 lg damage. With scoreboard trick you can tell that you did, for example, precisely 91 damage. How exactly does this help? Getting the precise number is only half of the job, you still have to think of how you can use this number.
So it looks more like a special complicated skill, probably not very useful, but at least I don't see any reasons why it should be discouraged.
if it works that way, it should only be allowed for premium servers, not premium people on pub servers - I hope they don't start to give competitive advantage to players who pay for it..
I don't see any competitive advantage, apart maybe for ppl like rapha or cooller. Even for them, it would be much exaggerated to say that, since they still have to do a million other calculations.
If it is to be used in premium only servers, then there is no point to be used at all, since very few ppl play on premium servers anw (and I mean from those that have premium).
I'd say it wouldn't be too far fetched to think that players couldn't get some advantage from it. It's not like qlive duels are +forward, +foward, +foward. There'd be plenty of time to sit for a second or two inbetween encounters to check out what you did, especially early on in the match. However small it may be, it's still an advantage.
can bet u don't time mega and red and you might not even be a dueler. Otherwise you would know that these calcutations aren't magically happen. So, please don't comment if u don't know for what u r talking about.
There are far too many calculations that you can do in game already and at the same time, you have to aim good, move fast, dodge well, predict the other player’s moves, plan roots, position well etc.
no, he just created a fantasy picture using some kind of editing. After he did all that hard work, it only remained for id to take his picture, give it to a computer and produce the code (just few mins of work).
Gillz was nominated for his Scoreboard for the Nobel prize in Computer Science for the year 2010, but he humbly withdrew the nomination.
is it a coincidence that those values are not displayed for sync's opponent? and still i dont get those figures. sync seems to have taken 3 megas which is somehow 3.34% of all megas taken?
is this screenshot of scoreboard real at all or is it just a fake sample?
so i guess you would have bought premium if the scoreboard was for free then? yeah sure.
if premium content can't win you over then nothing will so just shut and enjoy the free version of the game.
yes. remember the dm6 thread?
i guess he's just fooling around with the scoreboard, he made a mirrored dm6 and its in the competitive mappool by christmas
