Buy IBM (Lenovo) T60 used. They're pro machines that come with dualcore and shit and at least mine has a pmcia slot. The battery lasts 2-2.5 hours as wel with 58% of the original charge left.

Unfortunately not, it's for a ProTools LE digi 002 rack, so the USB conversion is too slow.
