Did you look that you keep the distance between the surface and the sensor the same as on the DA?

I think it's almost exactly the same. Now I use the mouse and nothing bad I have not noticed. I'm using now 450dpi 500hz usb

pay £60+ for a mouse, have to modify it just to make it work.

I'd like to wire a side button for my WMO using mouse3 (and perhaps mouse1 or mouse2 so that I can using chording to get mouse4). Your 2nd picture looks like the WMO PCB board upside down. Are the 4 wires there for the mouse buttons? Which is which?

It looks like i should be able to hack into the ribbon cable instead of soldering on the bottom of the board,, is that true?

Yeah that's the one that I mean. So you folded the board backwards? The green wire is for mouse button 1? Is the white wire for the electrical ground?

It seems that they are all connected to the ribbon cable on the mouse button 1 side.

How much could I pay you to put the DA 3.5 sensor in my Copperhead, if I provide the Copperhead and the DA.

I have not had experience with the Copperhead. As far as I know 3.5 DA is not very good?

Well, I used to have a perfectly working Copperhead that I used for years and did really well with, then one day I just opted to try a new mouse and bought the DA3.5 and gave the CH to my friend in need. I bought two CH's and BOTH of them have jitter issues where the cursor actually wobbles as i move it about. The DA3.5 sensor is great I don't know who thinks it is not they are wrong. They've released firmware updates that have made minor improvements to the firmware algorithm and the cursor feels perfect to me, no accel issues or anything to report. However I have sweaty hands during fps games and the sides of the DA get slick and slippery, which I can't stand. I can lift the mouse up 1-2 inches in the air holding it lightly and it will slide down my hand till it hits the mouse pad. I could send you a Copperhead and you could use that as an experiment then maybe you could figure it out and I'll send you another. Whatever works for you if you think it's possible I wouldn't mind letting you try it. I also have a g9x which I'm not using as well. And considering I just won a raffle for a Steelseries Xai, I wouldn't mind sending you the g9x if you have trouble with the first Copperhead. I really wouldn't mind being part of an experiment as you seem to know what you're doing. And there are others who have asked about modding the CH on the razerblueprints forums as well. This is something more than a few people have wished for.

What razer should have done, slap the old DA sensor in tons of shapes instead of their new crap. If the Xai never got released, I would've actually tried this myself.

I opened up my WMO to check. I had it backwards at first - all of the relevant cables are on the mouse2 side.

From above the ribbon it goes like -

I got my button last night and wired it up. I couldn't pry off the front part of the PCB and get to the solder points that you used, so I just soldered onto the ribbon cable.

I'm a little concerned that I have the 'wrong' ground but the button works without malfunction. This is an old busted WMO so I can afford to experiment and so if anything goes wrong with it in the future...

Why these big companies like Razer cant understand a simple thing.
Philips twin eye = z axis problem.
Shiny Plastic = sweaty fingers + it gets hot quickly

After 10 years Razer will still build these strange shape mice like Lachesis, Abyssus with QUAD EYE laser sensors with shiny plastic at sides and blue lighting.

People here want small mice like Mx310, G1, G3 with nice 5.6mp optical sensor, 80gram weight and rubber grips at side. How hard is that to understand big companies like Razer?

FYI, Abyssus is just as small as all those mice you mentioned.

Although I'm with you on the rubber grip issue. Copperhead was the last rubber gripping mouse they made although it's profile is too low for many people (personally I love it for fingertip aiming). The next closest thing they have is rubber grips on the side of the mamba but thats a $130 mouse and it baffles me why they can't include the same rubber grips on the side of the DeathAdder also. Although if they did then no one would have a reason to upgrade to the mamba and feed them more gold, lol.

Yes it is small mouse weight 52 grams not 80 and shape is not like G1 or Mx310 etc. LOD 3.5mm!!

I have Salmosa and it just fly away from my hand very light weight and Abyssus is same shape with different sensor.

Yes you hold copperhead on its grip I dont lol so it is not easy to hold mouse for everyone they stopped making them too. Rubber grips are on Mamba are for show I think its not fully rubberized + Philips twin eye sensor. And Deathadder toooo big for fingertip grip like me.

Just like small mouse with Kinzu shape with nice optic sensor!!!!
