asian edition is harder to get - probably only through ebay. For general purposes, I'd say that the salmosa really is small enough, but if it's for a child, he might benefit from the smaller size of the asian edition.

ehm it's not really smaller, just that they are differently shaped and I prefer the shape of the IMO 1.1.

can you do a comparison shot between a pilot-shaped mouse and the asian salmosa? that is, if you happen to have a mx300/g1/g3 lying around :)

I own a mx300 (thanks to ebay), salmosa asia is much smaller and lighter, those mice aren't similar. I would say wmo, ms optical blue/red and salmosa come close in terms of shape and weight (mx300 weighs ~81 grams with the additional weight inside removed).

Is the asian salmosa decent for a claw grip? I like small mice, but that is really freakin small.

If you prefer to aim with your fingertips only and the mouse can't be light and small enough then it might be perfect, but really pictures can't describe how tiny and light it feels, almost as if you aim with your hand only. It is very unique.

I tried mine for some weeks on and off, I could only use it with a very low sensitivity everything else was way too sensitive. Atm I'm back with the fat salmosa, it is light aswell but offers more stability for me.

it's not even worth mentioning, it took me like 2 days to get from predictionless (wmo ie30) to prediction (all optical logitech, salmosa). now I can even change them on the fly and hardly notice a difference in game.

I suggest you the Roccat Pyra Wired.

It's a small mice with a perfect optical sensor: it has 400, 800 and 1600 dpi, no prediction, a low lift off distance and the Easyshift function that is very useful in many games (add a second function to the primary buttons while pressing the thumb button).

The only problem (for me it's not) is that the sensor isn't on the center of the mice but on the left side (if you are right handed).

I tried the Roccat Kova but it sports too much prediction for my taste.
Even the Salmosa has the same problem: angle snapping.

G9 without weights is heavy indeed, but for high sens as finger/claw grip mouse it doesn't really matter, you never lift it anyway. Unless this is for mid/low sens, for a person used to light mice it can be a problem.

G9X without weight and without shell is the EXACT same weight as the WMO, I weighted them both at ~80g.

I didn't find the sensor all that great, the positive accel is really noticable with a low sensitivity. Also it rattles which was weird for such an expensive mouse. They should have made a small case, it is only small without any case but then looks like crap and isn't very ergonomic.That's all my personal opinion though, I sold it very quickly, mainly because of the accel which I couldn't stand

I get that it's no issue with medium to high sens or with ingame accel, so it has its userbase who love it, the laser sensor feels very precise in general. Still, the Xai would have been better if SS weren't such fuckups..

Theres also the Saitek GM3200. Though I can't attest to it's performance, it looks to be not quite as small as the Asian Salmosa, but with a slightly higher arched profile-
