You can find Xai's a lot cheaper then 70e. I got my one for 35e shopping around. They crop up every so often. Google trade and bestbuy sites are your friend. As for the weight, that's fine. Infact, I prefer the weight of the Xai to my WMO

3.0 isn't really like the 518 so that comparison isn't valid really. Then again, I've used both for some periods and didn't really like either of them... so meh. The 3.9 is more of a 2 finger mouse whereas the MX518 really kinda forces you to 3 finger or at least adapt (which can be kinda uncomfortable)

edit: I just bought a steelseries Kinzu for £15 on ebay (new). The guy is selling tons more so might be a look in. Saying that, I haven't tried it yet (it's gonna arrive today or tomorrow) but I bought it mainly because of the price and interest in all the "it's shit!" threads yet tons of pro's still using it (although that's sponsor shit)

If you are using kinzu plz use 1.0.7 software.
Do not install 1.0.10 software you will mess up settings and you can never get back default settings.
I had 2 kinzu I loved it when it had 1.0.7 software then I installed 1.0.10 software and it fked up all settings.

You prob will have kinzu with black scroll wheel with rubber cord just stick any taflon feet you will have good glide.

P.S. I am sure that you will install 1.0.10 software :))

yeah, Kinzu has the strongest prediction of all mice I know of
I think that the mouse could have been quite a success (cheap, small..) if it wouldn't have that much prediction and acceleration

The sensor is the only thing that lets it down, which is why I'm gonna mod it :D

Well, I didn't spend £15 to see how crap a sensor was. I've always looked into the mouse because it looked like it would suit me and for the most part it does... Just the sensor doesn't :P

what about Salmosa Asian edition? would be quite the mouse for some with the optics of the Salmosa and the shape of the Kinzu

If you like the WMO shape/size, you will like the XAI shape/size too.
It's exactly the same shape except for the edges which are sharper on the XAI.
Sensor is quite good, way too accurate for a mouse sensor. So you will need to keep the sensor clean (even few particules of dust can fuck up your sens...).
For the XAI, I recommand a Puretrak Talent because the compact mesh of the pad makes the glide very smooth and very stable, AND (it's the important part I guess) it's easy to clean and it prevents well from the dust, by the way QcK and Goliathus are nightmares to keep the dust away. So every 2/3 hours, you have to clean your sensor.
The software is also a nightmare to use. By the way don't update your XAI to 1.4.2. The 1.3.6 is way better.

To compare to the 3.0, if you have large hands (around 20cm from the top of the middle finger to the bottom of your palm) it should be ok. It's a natural shape, so you can't find a better mouse for his shape.The sensor is good if you have mid/high sens (as I can see, yes) because it has a "quite low" Max Speed (~ 2m/s if i remember correctly).
And buy Hyperglides (if it's not already the case :p) because the WMO/3.0 feet are shit.
The only bad part of this mouse are the buttons. They feel pretty cheap.

So as a conclusion, (for me) 3.0 + Hyperglides > XAI. Just because you have to clean the sensor every 2/3 hours and the shape of the 3.0 is fucking perfect...

I have to clean the sensor of my MX518 every 5 minutes when using the Puretrak Talent (which I use because its glide is much more constant than the glide of the Razer Goliathus) kurwa, what makes me think that what you're saying is bullshit.

If you have to clean your MX518 every 5 minutes, there is obviously a problem with the sensor. Never had any problem with MX518.
And by the way, the sensor of the MX518 is not enough accurate to detect dust.

I have the mx518 with the 5L, I clean the sensor in every two months only, no problems so far, but I never saw a single mouse what was incompatible or had problems with the 5L anyway:) Cleaning sensor in every 5 minutes sounds awful:(

well I exaggerated, the dust is not a serious problem in tracking at all, but at the time I wrote that post it was a serious issue inside my head : / what is really annoying though: I have a white cat that molts quite a lot over my stuff, his hairs are literally everywhere. What has that to do with my mouse? Well, sometimes, when I perform bad, I wonder wtf is wrong, but the thought that it may be a hair under the mouse (in the sensor) doesn't instantly come to my mind so I keep on playing and performing not as good as I could and then after some great annoyance I check the sensor and look what is there... a hair -_-

when I wrote that post, I already had the Talent for like a month and I of course noticed that the sensor collects a lot of dust, but atm I can't be arsed to clean the sensor every some minutes and it works fine. Seems like dust does not affect the MX518 that much at all.

I have 19cm hands and yea i'm leaning towards ie 3.0 mainly because of the price (~22e) + it looks damn comfortable in the pics. Xai seems good but i'd rather spend the money on something else.
